Brackett School site on Drupal

on November 24th, 2010 at 6:32:19 AM

My kids' school site was upgraded to Drupal a few months ago - yay! One of the other parents volunteers his time to host and manage the site and I'm helping train people to use the site. Our PTO president is fantastic about posting new content and getting events on the front page. And now that we're on Drupal it's time for lots of other people to start adding content. There are dozens (maybe hundreds) of very active volunteers at our school and our website should reflect our active community by having lots of parents and teachers post news and events. We kicked things off with a training session last week at our house for several parents who chair committees like the Art Squad and the Science & Math Team. None of them had used Drupal or even a CMS tool, but they all got it right away. Now that they're trained up, my next goal is to encourage them to start posting so we get new names up on the site.

Kris Lohan (my sis) is running the Boston Marathon

on November 14th, 2010 at 7:00:00 PM

Kris is running the Boston Marathon on April 18th as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team. The Leukemia Society does amazing research and the treatments that they pioneered added years to my Dad's life. Dad passed away last summer but our family will continue to support the critical work that the Leukemia Society does to keep other patients alive. Please donate to Kris and help save lives. Thank you
